Tea for your soul

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

Grace

Dear Lord,
I pray for every sister that is afraid to walk in your gracious light. I pray that whatever shadows are casting over her, you remove and let your light shine through her. Let her recognize that her dwelling place is in the favor of your kingdom. Allow her to reap fruit in dry places. May she seek you always no matter the circumstances in her life. Build in her a soul that is impenetrable to the weapons of this world.
Amen

Perseverance

Dear Lord,
I want to thank you. Thank you for every sister reading this publication. Lord, I want you to pour into her your power. A power that only you can provide. A power that allows her to push through to the other side of whatever circumstance she may be facing. Lord give her an “in spite of” strength, give her an open mind that she may be filled with wisdom as she walks through this experience. Lastly, Father grant her a heart filled with joy, for her soul knows the will of her life is anchored in your promises.
Amen

The Beginning

Hello Ladies! In a world where social media is the fountain from which we fill our cup with “tea”, taking slow sips to savor the flavor and occasionally pausing to gasp in unbelief; I thought I would create my own brew. Every day we drink from the kettle of others, even setting a place and welcoming others to fellowship and drink from our own personal flavor. But I pose to you the question, “Is what you’re “drinking” providing nourishment to your body? Mind? Soul?” Or better yet, “Are you serving tea that provides substantial benefit for the health and well-being of others?”. What I am referring to is spiritual “tea”. Where are we getting this special blend? Yes, we go to church once, sometimes twice a week, we’re involved in this ministry, and we listen to that podcast or subscribe to this YouTube channel. But the thirst of the soul is never quenched. So I have partnered with God to create a special brew of tea. Spices of the word blended with flavors of personal experience.

The beginning. Tea with Ms. Kie began simply as a senior project in high school. I gathered six girls from my neighborhood and instructed them on everyday etiquette and table manners over the course of six weeks. The name along with any further ideas were shelved once I received a perfect score, allowing me to collect my diploma and enter the next realm of life. Then came the year 2017. In this year, Jesus and I became friends. He was more than my creator, my savior, he became my closest friend and I was more than just his follower. I became more concerned with kingdom building and living a life with the sole purpose of pleasing him. I prayed and studied and prayed some more seeking guidance and direction concerning my purpose. He brought forward from the highest shelf in the dustiest corner, “Tea with Ms. Kie”. Same name, new purpose. My experiences have taught me so much but more importantly, today I stand in a place of favor. He has laid upon my heart to share how I have navigated to my current dwelling place.

“As each one has received a gift, mister to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God”

1 Peter 4:10
