Tea for your soul

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

Grace

Dear Lord,
I pray for every sister that is afraid to walk in your gracious light. I pray that whatever shadows are casting over her, you remove and let your light shine through her. Let her recognize that her dwelling place is in the favor of your kingdom. Allow her to reap fruit in dry places. May she seek you always no matter the circumstances in her life. Build in her a soul that is impenetrable to the weapons of this world.
Amen

Perseverance

Dear Lord,
I want to thank you. Thank you for every sister reading this publication. Lord, I want you to pour into her your power. A power that only you can provide. A power that allows her to push through to the other side of whatever circumstance she may be facing. Lord give her an “in spite of” strength, give her an open mind that she may be filled with wisdom as she walks through this experience. Lastly, Father grant her a heart filled with joy, for her soul knows the will of her life is anchored in your promises.
Amen

1 LOV3, Day 7- Above ALL Else, LOVE

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Throughout the Bible there are many stories. From Genesis to Revelations and all the books in between we read stories that have similar themes. There are countless records of people who have hoped, those who have prayed with an unwavering faith, and some who have loved and at times have failed to. Throughout its chapters, the Bible creates for us the importance of having hope, standing in faith and choosing to love.

Paul says that faith, hope and love will last forever. He ends with, "But the greatest of these is love." Sure, we should have hope. Hope is the desire to want something to change. Without hope, we don't anticipate change. In the absence of hope, there is contentment. And faith? How else do you describe a christian without the characteristic of faith. Faith is how we pledge our allegiance to God. So, why is love the greatest? Love is a lifestyle that reaps spiritual benefits. Paul uses chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians to show us how to achieve a life of love. He publishes a list of characteristics and behaviors that are both pleasing and displeasing to God. God has charged us with the responsibility of loving one another as he has loved us (John 13:34-35). We are not identified by our hope nor our faith. We as lovers and believers of Christ are identified by how we love. If we entangle ourselves in love for one another and love of Christ, we need not worry about anything else. God will acknowledge our hope and reward our faith.
