Tea for your soul

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

Grace

Dear Lord,
I pray for every sister that is afraid to walk in your gracious light. I pray that whatever shadows are casting over her, you remove and let your light shine through her. Let her recognize that her dwelling place is in the favor of your kingdom. Allow her to reap fruit in dry places. May she seek you always no matter the circumstances in her life. Build in her a soul that is impenetrable to the weapons of this world.
Amen

Perseverance

Dear Lord,
I want to thank you. Thank you for every sister reading this publication. Lord, I want you to pour into her your power. A power that only you can provide. A power that allows her to push through to the other side of whatever circumstance she may be facing. Lord give her an “in spite of” strength, give her an open mind that she may be filled with wisdom as she walks through this experience. Lastly, Father grant her a heart filled with joy, for her soul knows the will of her life is anchored in your promises.
Amen

1 LOV3, DAY 1- Spiritual Gifts

If I speak in the tongues of men or angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding a gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

As children of God we have been blessed with spiritual gifts. Apostle Paul tells us that the same God has blessed each of us with gifts in many different ways (1 Corinthians 12). Just as the body has many different limbs that work to serve one purpose, we are to use our gifts to come together to serve as one body of Christ. To only acknowledge that we have been anointed with a gift is not enough. We must use our talents and fuel them with the power of love. Paul says that without love our faith, our gifts and our capabilities amount to nothing. Love is the foundation. Love is the source. Love empowers us with the ability to use our gifts to reach heavenly places and bring forward the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Consider your spiritual gift. Something you have a "natural ability" to do. This gift may not be prophecy or speaking tongues, but it honors God just the same. It brings forth souls in and outside the church environment. This is not a skill that is practiced and perfected. Others are able to see the God in you and your connection to the Kingdom. Got it? When used, does it come from a place of love? Or obligation? The answer to that question is paramount. If not rooted in love, we will not bear fruit that nourishes the many souls that God has placed in our path. The Lord's power is manifested in us through our spiritual capabilities, talents and gifts. If you are aware of the gift that God has blessed you with, examine yourself and what motivates you to share it. Consider the component of love and how it is exhibited through your Kingdom works. Pray and ask our Heavenly Father to increase Himself in you so that love becomes a natural part of your anointing.
